The Powerful Herbal Liquor

The tag line on this billboard says something to the effect of "The powerful herbal liquor for the Football World Cup".  I am not sure why you would need a Bloodroot liquor that looks like a sausage to cheer the team on, especially with all of the good German beer around here...but here you go.  Everyone has caught World Cup mania!

Unifest

We live very close to the campus of LMU and the Technical Universities...that is where I came by this poster for Unifest.  It just struck me as funny.

Oh, for the days of cheap Beck's and shots all night!  You gotta like the use of the Munich skyline and also the Monk symbol...a little local pride while enticing us to get boozed up!

I just couldn't help myself...

So in the US, Homer is all about the donuts, right? Well here in Deutschland, he is all about the Schwein (pig...pork....swine...you get the idea). I just thought this was funny and knew that a few peeps would appreciate seeing a cross-cultural Simpson's reference! Woo hoo!

Angry Weeks?

I came across this BK billboard in the train station this week....what the heck? It translates into "ANGRY WEEKS.....The Fiery Weeks of Summer.....Angry Whopper and Angry Chicken...only for a short time ". Well thank goodness for that-I guess that we should be happy that those "Angry Weeks" are followed by the "Happy Weeks" or "Drunken Weeks" of Oktoberfest!
